Family goes to Hongkong
Posted on May 3, 2007

My two sisters, three nieces and 1 nephew are off to Hong Kong last April on the 25th by PAL. They stayed 5 days at the Marco Polo Gateway.

I can tell they have a great time by looking at all the pictures taken from their trip to Hong Kong. How I wish I am there with them on this trip. They went to Disneyland...wow! good for you guys! You went to Disneyland already. I want to go to Disneyland too and want to ride that sampan ride! Here are some photos to share from their trip.

Cinco de Mayo
Posted on May 4, 2007

We attended a party to celebrate Cinco de Mayo at Informatix office. I am glad that I am able to see Jennifer again. She is Filipina and she is working at Informatix. We had time to talk with each other and she is very nice lady. Her son is cute! And there was one Filipino also that remembers me and she started talking to me.

I met her last year at Cinco de Mayo party. I forgot her name and now I can't stop thinking about it. Anyway, we had a wonderful time at the party and spent a couple of hours there. Chris gave me a tour in the building and I have a chance to see his desk. Then we headed home! Here are the photos from today.

Spider Man 3

We are off to watch Spider Man 3 today in Roseville. My friend Jassy was the one who watched Casey while we are at the movie. We dropped her at Jassy's place. I am glad we are able to watch Spider Man 3, it’s been awhile that we did not see a movie in the theater.

I think the last movie we watched in the theater was Garfield; I believe it was 3 years ago, before Casey is born. When Casey was born we didn't go out for movies any more. We don't think it is good for the baby to be inside the theater.

I was surprised when I saw a few infants today inside the theater. I think it is too loud for the baby. Anyway, the spider man 3 was pretty good movie, I can give 5 star for this movie. The movie started 3:30 and lasted almost 6Pm. We headed back to Jasmin place at 6:30 pm and we had good Mexican dinner with Stypes couple & Riggs couple! Casey had a wonderful time with her Auntie Jassy at the playground. Thanks to Jas & Aaron. Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Pacific Rim Festival
Posted on May 13, 2007

We are off to Auburn this morning for church and celebrate Mother's day at parent's in-law house. We had yummy pizza! Thank you to my friends and family who remember to greet me happy Mother's day and sent me e-cards/cards. And to my ever dearest husband and daughter, "Salamat ngan Hinigugma ko kam nga duha!" Here are a couple of picture of me with my Mother in-law and my daughter today picture1 & Picture2. Happy Mother's day to all Mothers in the world!

Pacific Rim Festival
Posted on May 22, 2007

I finally get a chance to upload the pictures from festival. I was busy and today I had job interview again for Stix. The interview went well and we had a nice talk. He will call me back by Monday for his decision. I am hoping to get this job this time.

Anyway, we off to rim street festival last Sunday and we enjoyed the warm sunny day. We had a wonderful day with friends and had a great time wandered around at the festival. We did a lot of walking. But this year, we didn’t go to all the booths like we have before. And also the favorite booth that we like to go to wasn't there this year. Oh this time, we got a chance to watch some hula dancers for a while and I took a couple of pictures and then we got hungry and decided it was time to eat! All the food booths were busy, so we went back to an Indonesian Café right next to the train station. Had some good food!

Casey wanted to ride a train but she did ride the Carousel (twice). Once with me, Maricel and Jassy. And the second time with her daddy. She enjoyed it so much, but also got scared when it was going fast. Then we wandered around for a few more hours after we ate and then we came home. The Photos can be viewed at Photo gallery page!

Off to Devy's Baby Shower
Posted on May 28, 2007

I was invited to a baby shower today for Devy Hamel given by Merlina Dumm. It was nice to meet Devy and her husband. She has big pointed belly, good for her. She is 8 months pregnant and her due date is fast approaching. I always wanted to have picture with a big belly when I was pregnant but when I was with Casey, my tummy was not that big. Oh, well, good also that my tummy wasn't that big or else I might end up having a caesarean. I never wanted to have a caesarean but anything good for baby, why not!

Anyway, I had a wonderful time at the baby shower. I had fun with the games especially with the cucumber game. You did a good job Jas! I didn't win with any of the games I participated in but I feel I won, too. because I received a bubble bath and bath scrub too. I passed on the cotton game, I don't like to be blindfolded and putting petroleum jelly on the nose (he he)

The food was great! I enjoyed the lasagna and the grilled chicken. I usually don't eat a lot in parties but this time I ate a lot. I had to ask the recipe at once from Devy. I am glad she was generous to share it with me. I'll definitely make the grilled chicken this week. I am pretty sure Chris will like this one, too. Thanks to you Merlina & Larry for inviting me. Photos can be viewed at here.

What a relaxing weekends
Posted on June 4, 2007

Last night, I found a website that interests me. It’s called the “English club”. I was reading about English and I enjoyed playing the English quiz that I found on the website. When I went through all the readings, I decided to visit my website and I noticed that I haven’t posted anything in my journal since May 28.

I have to post something for my avid reader, Fely (he he) Thank you Fely and to my friends/family for taking your time to visit my website. I am thinking of you every time I post something new on my website.

Anyway, by the grace of God we’re doing good and still kicking. Last Friday, we went for dinner at the Stypes Residence. They invited us over to their house for dinner. We had a great dinner with the Stypes. We had delicious spaghetti with meatballs in it. Chris and I enjoyed their company and so did Casey. Saturday Evening, we watched Shrek, the fist movie on our DVD & Sunday, we just stayed home relaxing. The last few weekends, we’ve been always going out and we wanted to stay home to relax and enjoy just us this time. Sunday afternoon, we watched Finding Nemo with Casey. And I have chance to watch my gossip show “the buzz”. The special report about the Yilmaz Bektaz & Ruffa Guttierrez

A fun day at the Funderland
Posted on June 8, 2007

We are off to Funderland today with Aileen & Gail. Aileen invited Casey and I to join them and the Mom's club. They were going to Funderland. Casey was excited and very happy at Funderland.

I am glad we came except I was embarrassed because I rode roller coaster with Casey (Just the small one), I feel I am going to faint. I am awfully nervous! I was completely at a loss because I am supposed to be brave for my little one but I had to tell Aileen that I wanted to get off. I can't stay for another round or I will faint. The operator of the dragon roller coaster had to stop just so I can get off.

Whew! I promised to myself that I am not going to ride to that roller coaster again. I feel guilty though because Casey seems that she likes it but she was not allowed to ride alone. Must have someone with her! I will not allow her to ride roller coaster except if her daddy is with her. But we enjoyed the rest of the rides. View photos here. Goodnight!

Trip to Muir Woods
Posted on June 17, 2007

We are off to Muir Woods today. We got up so early this morning, we wanted to be there in Muir Woods at 8 Am, but unexpectedly we got there passed 11am. Unfortunately, we got lost! Chris missed the turn. We stopped at one place when we are headed towards San Francisco because we needed to use rest room. We took a few pictures there over-looking Vallejo.

The Muir woods is really beautiful...I was amazed to see the huge trees. The tallest tree in Muir woods is about 260 feet high and is located in Bohemian grove and the widest tree is about 14 feet diameter and it is also near Bohemian grove. We didn't bring stroller for Casey because we wanted to walk into Bohemian grove to see the tallest tree in Muir Woods. We had a long walk...I think about 3 hours round trip. It's a good thing we stopped first to Muir beach Overlook to eat. It was cold there; we just eat in the truck. We brought rice and sausage...we had food and drinks with us!

We had great time in Muir Woods. We enjoyed wandering around....lots of walking. Casey had asked her daddy to carry her. I think she had enough walking. She was walking up on the hill to Bohemian grove....it's a lot of fun even if I am nervous and scared because the road are so narrow and I am scared. I had to tell Chris to slow down. Whew! It was really scary but we had fun. I am glad we went there today. I’d noticed most there were families. There were lots of kids in there. I guess it’s a family day…he he. There was one who greeted Chris Happy Father’s day and offered to take our picture.

I am glad he did. We forgot to bring our tripod. I think it would be nice if we brought the tripod just so we can take pictures of all three together. Anyway, we got home safe and sound 7pm. Happy Father's day to all daddies out there! Photos from today.

Lola's 70th birthday Party
Posted on June 25, 2007

We went to Auburn yesterday to celebrate my Mother in-law’s 70th birthday. All of her children & grandchildren were there to celebrate on this very special moment in her life. I don't think I'll be able to reach this age, but I am hoping and praying that I can someday. This is why I am very impressed of my mother in-law because at her age she is still very energetic, she's always in a good shape and slim. She is a very tidy and organized woman I know. I like the way she dress up...so neat. I always remember her when I see our place very messy! (lol) I am inspired by her. She is ideal mother and wife. Mom, I wish you in best health always and more birthdays to come.  Stay beautiful! View photos here.

Fourth of July
Posted on July 4, 2007

We had our July potluck at Stypes residence and at the same time we were celebrating the fourth of July also. We were supposed to go to Del Campo High School for fireworks but unfortunately they cancelled this year. So we all decided to go to Sunrise Mall to watch the fireworks. We had a great time there with friends. Tom, welcome to the group! View photos. Sorry for the black pictures. We didn't notice it was set up to black & white.
