Archive for April 2007 So proud of you
I just spoke to my niece named Lady Lei who just graduated from college just last month (March 2007) she got a degree of BS Information management. She received special award (artist award). Time really flies…she is now grown up beautiful lady. I remember back many years ago when she was 3 years old. She is so cute with her curly hair and she loves to crawl underneath the chairs…I can’t forget those moments she crawls to hide underneath the chair and eat Marie crackers and remember her happy face. Anyway, she is hoping to land a job very soon. I love you my dear one and hopefully the good Lord will grant your desire just have faith in Him ok? I know you are reading this…stay sweet and lovable! Sorry I am not there to greet you in person and join you in your very special day. How I wish I were there, who knows maybe someday I can make it up to you. My advice: No boyfriends (I know you are now allowed to have one since you just got your ticket the diploma. Oh! I am nostalgic here...anyway, 20 years old is still too young to have boyfriend. Just wait when you reach the age of 28. So not yet ok???(he he he)
1st Potluck
We have our once a month potluck first meeting today at Meyer's residence. Jasmin sent us an email and came up with the idea of having once a month potluck (Filipino-American couple) We all agreed to it and I think this is good idea. We've been talking about the first meeting, the venue and food we'll be bringing. We've been talking to hold our first potluck at Lew Howard Park but we change the location due to the weather. It rained yesterday and we presume the grass will still be wet the next day. We have a lot of fun in our first potluck, all the food was great! We have Turkey, pork teriyaki, barbecued pork, pork adobo, pancit and rice of course. And we have dessert too! Marie brought a banana split cake and Mango float. I enjoyed eating and I ate a lot again...he he he. There was a new couple came also, they are Larry and Merlita. It's always great to see new Filipina and I am looking forward for more....George, Aileen and Gail we missed you. Get well soon! Here's the photos from today. Strawberry Festival
We are off to Strawberry Festival today in Roseville with our friends Bill and Maricel. Casey and I had fun riding the train (Casey call it choo choo- train!) It was really fun especially after seeing my daughter really excited to be on the train. Chris was enjoying looking at the car exhibit. Here's the photos from today.
Take your child to day work
Casey went to office with daddy this morning at 7am. Today is a Take your sons and daughters to work day! I went back to sleep right after they left. I slept about an hour. I got up from the bed and went to kitchen. I boiled water , sat down at the computer, checked e-mails and then I watched my shows online while waiting for my water to boil. And then I decided to call my husband and check and find out how my baby is doing in the office. It seems like my husband was having fun chasing Casey...he he he. I went to the kitchen after talking to Chris on the phone. My water was ready. I grabbed my cup and pour 2 teaspoon of ginger punch. and then back to my computer and continue watching my shows. It was strange feeling every time I heard a bit of noise, I was thinking maybe Casey is awake but then I realized Casey is not sleeping , she's out with her daddy today. I smiled realizing I am home alone. I am through watching my shows, I took a shower getting ready for my hot date! he he, I have a friend online that I just met in person today and it was wonderful! Off to Jasmin Graduation Party
We are off to our friend's graduation party yesterday. We had wonderful time at the party. We are all having fun with the camera. In Filipino gatherings you must have camera and we enjoyed the food! As always the food was yummy. The Filipino barbeque was really good! Congrats to you Jassy! Anyway, the summer is rapidly approaching and I decided to cut my hair short last Friday. My hair was getting very long. I am so glad everyone in the party likes my hair and it's so funny that Aileen didn't recognize me! (he he he), She was surprised of my new look!
